864 Households Applied For HDB Loan Deferments From April To August 2020: MND
The HDB has benefited about 2,500 family units on their Housing and Development Board home mortgage installments from April to Aug 2020, made known the Ministry of National Development in Parliament on 14 Oct 20.
Of these, 864 families worked out to delay their credit payments, the other 277 cut down their property loan premiums.
Ministry of National Development provided the announcement in return to Member of the Parliament Ng Ling Ling, that sought on the number of requests for postponement of Housing and Development Board funding payment were taken in by HDB from the commencement of the circuit breaker period along with the scale of the confirmed appeals.
“HDB renders exclusive monetary counselling to house owners seeking help with their HDB mortgage payments to grasp their concerns, furthermore establish beneficial procedures to serve these people,” conveyed Ministry of National Development.
It documented that the aid actions include permitting owners to defer or lower financial loan premiums or even extend their loan period subject specified age limits.
“As the monetary counselling is holistic, we do not have information on the amount of family units who put in for specifically to delay their funding expenditures,” Ministry of National Development stated.
